It represents what the PPP stands for and what we commit to doing for the next five years…This launch is not a public relations gimmick. We are not here to buy votes with grand promises or create an illusion for unrealistic futures,” Ramotar stated.He said that the PPP’s vision for Guyana is one that sees continuous economic growth; world class infrastructure; word class education; superior health care; reliable and affordable electricity, water and housing.The President added that the PPP has given Guyana a new lease on life over the last 23 years and vows to continue along this vein.He repeated an age old promise to create jobs and vowed also to ensure that the Amaila Falls project finally comes on stream.The controversial Cheddi Jagan International Airport (CJIA) Expansion project, the road to Brazil, construction of a deep water harbour and new bridge across the Demerara River, all remain on the table.But in what was seen as the big announcement, Ramotar also promised that his administration would build a bridge across the Corentyne River, linking Guyana and Suriname.However, this is not reflected in the party’s manifesto.In terms of enhancing the wellbeing of Guyanese, Ramotar said that PPP will make life materially better for them while paying special attention to children,Wholesale Jerseys Authentic, single parents and indigenous people.He said that his party will ensure that strides continue in the Social Sector and in education.
